Temporary Resident visas

You may require a visa to enter Canada depending on your country of citizenship. A Temporary Resident Visa will allow you to legally enter Canada to visit family and friends or to do certain limited business activities as a business visitor. Citizens of certain countries do not need a temporary resident visa to enter Canada. However, they may need an Electronic Travel Authorization before flying to Canada. Business Visitors

Some business visitors to Canada may enter into Canada on a temporary resident visa without a work permit. They usually come to attend business meetings, seminars, conferences and some other limited activities. All business visitors must declare their purpose at the port of entry. Super Visa

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTAs)

Since the 10th November/2016, all foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries travelling to Canada by air must first obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) which is valid upto five years. American citizens are exempt from eTAs, but U.S. Green card holders need eTAs.

Charitable/Religious Worker (Work Permit not required)

People who work for charitable purposes relief poverty, advancement of education or certain other purposes that benefit the community do not need a work permit. If a foreign national works for a particular religious community who is involved in advancing the spiritual teachings as well as maintaining the doctrines and spiritual observances do not need a work permit.
